Ryan Presley's Blood Money Currency Exchange Terminal (2018-ongoing) combines the achievements of a painter with the tradition of Conceptual Art to provide tangible results for First Nations people. The performative piece enables gallery visitors to buy Blood Money Dollars (BMD) using Australian money by emulating a currency conversion counter. Participants get messages in exchange for watercolours of Aboriginal artists, inventors, and liberation warriors.
